Wife Swapping Orgies My father grew up in pool halls and bowling alleys. He was proficient in both endeavors and bowled regularly in the company league. Eventually, when women joined the Travelers Insurance work force, they too began to bowl, though when this began, Dad quit the league abruptly. My mother surmised that he quit because he was afraid to be shown up by a female bowler. No likely. More probable was his wanting to avoid the temptation of extramarital trysts. Ma had no idea that many of the women in the Travelers Bowling League were looking for guys. Dad knew this and that’s why he removed himself from such an occasion to sin, good Roman Catholic man that he was. Ma failed to conceive the scope of this until she and Dad attended a Travelers office party at the Carpenter Hotel. This may have been in the mid 1940s, and from what she described, it topped anything that I had seen or participated in during the free wheeling ‘60s and ‘70s. During dinner, the woman sitting next to my mother confided that she’d had numerous affairs with many of the men there and that there was no woman’s husband that she couldn’t seduce. My mother excused herself to go to the ladies’ room. She wasn’t worried about Dad, conversing as he was about sports with three male co-workers. Later that night several couples there retired to the Carpenter’s roof top where they went at it full bore in a veritable wife swapping orgy. Disgusted, my parents left the party, never to attend another office function again. Ma surmised that most of those women in attendance were digging gravel out of their backsides for the next week and a half.
