✞ Will I Go To The Lake of Fire ? The New Testament mentions the existence of a lake which is destined to become the place of judgment for the Beast, the False Prophet, Satan (after the Millennium), and *wicked human beings* who reject Gods offer of salvation from this fate, and His free offer of eternal life predicated based on the death of his son Jesus. Who paid for our sins by his death, and his resurrection from the dead, to provide us with eternal life in Heaven with Him forever. It’s really our call...NO human being has to go to the Lake of Fire “unless” they ignore or reject Jesus sacrifice to save them from it. It is called “The Lake of Fire,” or more accurately, “The Lake of the Fire”. It is “the Fire” which is found in the lake that makes the lake unique, and that fire is the fire of judgment. The fuel that feeds the fire in this lake is brimstone (an old name for sulfur). The first important matter to consider is what constitutes “a lake” as humans are able to perceive it. The dictionary defines a lake as an area of depression in the earth which contains a liquid (normally water). Since the apostle John in the Book of Revelation used the ordinary and simple term for “lake,” it could be reasonably believed that he had a conventional lake in mind, though he said it was “The Lake of THE Fire.” Note the definite article qualifying the word “fire.” The apostle John was referring to a lake that had “THE fire” in it which was reserved for God’s judgment against them that rebel against Him . I dont write this to scare you....but to warn you! The state doesnt put up a sign reading Slow: Dangerous Curve Ahead! to scare you, but to warn you from avoidable harm ‘if’ you head to the warning. So the question is...will you heed Gods warning? Please dont just ignore this warning and end up cast into the lake of fire with the Beast, the False Prophet and Satan, forever. God promises you in his word he doesnt want you to go there, and HE WILL SAVE YOU from it. I guess the next question to answer is how will he save me? The Bible tells us the wages of sin is death. This casting into the Lake of Fire is called the ‘second death’. This is the one he will save us from. He also states that all are sinner, their is not righteous. Everyone ever born needs salvation! Lets allow Saint Paul to tell us how to be ‘saved’ from the Lake of Fire and receive eternal life in Heaven with the Lord. This is know as ‘salvation’ of course. Romans 1:16 16. For I am not ashamed of **the gospel of Christ**: for it is the power of God *unto salvation* to every one that **believeth**; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. You can see from Pauls writing the the *gospel of Christ* has the message that will save anyone who is willing to ‘believe’ in it or place their ‘faith’ in the gospel message. Now Paul tells us below (vs.3,4) in the most concise terms as found anywhere in the scriptures ‘the gospel message’ we MUST place our trust in to be saved. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you *the gospel* which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also *ye are saved*, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that ✮Christ died for our sins✮ according to the scriptures; 4 And that ✮he was buried✮ and that ✮he rose again the third day✮ according to the scriptures: To receive the gift of salvation one MUST *believe* “ Christ died on the cross to pay our sin debt in full, was buried, and rose from the tomb for our salvation.” And of course “to believe” is the conviction that something is true that we *rely-on* or *trust-in* and not mere intellectual knowledge. .
