Winter hang gliding has started up in Glenorchy again for the season! Skytrek Tandem Hang Gliding & Paragliding is the only company in New Zealand to offer hang gliding through the winter season with their aero-tow flight. The tandem hang glider is towed into the air by a specially designed tow-plane called a ‘tug’. After climbing to over 3000 feet, the hang glider pilot releases from the tow line and takes you on a leisurely ride back to earth with stunning views over Glenorchy and Lake Wakatipu.
