Winter has completely arrived, which means that Spanish mountains are covered with snow! While the cities and villages near the sea keep enjoying pleasant temperatures that enable you to sit on a terrace during midday, the mountains have been covered with a thick layer of snow. For example, this weekend it snowed 1,5 m in Baqueira (Catalonia). At the same time, one of the most popular winter sports has started its season. If you are a ski or snowboard lover, check the link bellow and you will find a website with all the ski runs and slopes in Spain, so you can decide which one suits your level the best or is closer to you. If, on the contrary, you are not really into winter sports, bear in mind that there is much more to do. There are softer sports, such as ice-skating or sleights, and there is a huge range of activities to do in the villages. You can have traditional winter meals while enjoying a beautiful white landscape, drink hot chocolate, enjoy some of the amazing spas and thermal waters (such as Caldea in Andorra), use one of the many cableways, hire an air balloon to fly over the mountains or just have a relaxing walk around the beautiful surroundings!
