With St. Patricks Day right around the corner...I have to share a story with all of you about a sweet Irishman that gives guided tours in Glendalough, Ireland. He is a published poet, short story writer & a member of Wicklow Writers Group in Ireland. I will share his story he wrote about me on the impression that I left with him...after you get a chuckle out of his story...I will write one for him. I always loved celebrating St. Patricks Day...and now that I have been to Ireland & have met some pretty wonderful people... I am going to celebrate St. Patricks Day even more! I walked on Martin Swords guided walking tour...and along the way there was a sign that said POULANASS Waterfall... I stood in front of the letters Poulan & in my picture...it said Ass Waterfall ha,ha When I showed Martin this picture...He said to me, All that Culture Ruined! Here is his story!!! Hi Kathy. How are you, still Krazy after all these years. Lovely to see your pic and that famous Ass. I am still giving Guided Walks in Glendalough but I have had to change my talk because of you.. At the place where the picture was taken I tell people The Legend of Kathy’s Ass. It concerns a lady who traveled far far from across the sea to Glendalough. She took great pride in her Ass constantly talking about it and having it drawn, described and photographed, distracting her from all the important things in life. Eventually all the Saints of Glendalough got together to pray for Kathy and her Ass. They prayed hard that soon her Ass would sag and droop like all the other middle age asses and cease being a source of sinful pride to Kathy. Saint Martin of Glendalough pointed out that Kathy was very young and that it might take a long time for this to happen – nevertheless they continue to pray= and they live in hope for the saving of Kathy’s Ass. Glad to see that you shared with friends. I didn’t realize you had friends. Tell your friends to come to Ireland, to Glendalough and to take a walk with me. Tell your friends I will charge them EXTRA for all the grief I got from you ! Tell them also to forget about The Blarney Stone and The Gift of The Gab – come to me in Glendalough and the will soon be speaking Bullshit – just like this. Lovely to hear from you Kathy – keep well you and all your family. He told me I belong in Ireland...and he could be more right! Happy St. Patricks Month everyone! I Love Irish People! :)
