With all the media distractions around the election, is it surprising that so many issues about our economic future have been ignored? The last time a Coalition government was elected, in the very first budget 10% of recurrent funding was ripped out of universities. No one is asking about the scale of university funding cuts from a future Abbott government. In this election, the future of higher education deserves an independent, fearless voice.
