With politically minded people looking towards the next round of elections Labour does what it does best - launches into self-destruct mode. The two Eds could stand up and promise to repeal all the Tories have done since 2010. They could promis to put the NHS, water, power, the railway, back under state control. They could promise to nationalise all enterprises, industrial and financial including the banks; re-instate benefit cuts and enhance welfare services, the police and anything else you can think of. They could promise a referendum on Europe knowing the result could go sadly wrong for the economy and human rights. But would the great British public be listening? Anyone with the remotest part of a brain knows that the next government has to start with what they find come 2015; and to move forward from that will be like the first assault on Everest without oxygen and using piano wire for ropes. Promises that cannot be delivered will not do the trick. How do you take control of international ownership? Get real folks. Thank goodness we have a potential PM with a brain.
