With recent conversation surrounding the eligibility of Navajo Nation presidential candidates on the grounds of Navajo language proficiency taking up our attention, Ben Shellys stupidity is not focused on as much as it should be. Our Navajo leaders need more than a proficiency in our language to be counted as leaders. Members of the old guard of Navajo Nation politics needs to verse themselves in critical thinking and forward thinking instead of wasting their time barring women from the Navajo Nation presidency and shaming non-fluent Navajo people. With a president like this it is no wonder that the Navajo Nation remains in a state of dysfunction. I am ashamed to say that this person is the leader of my Nation. Also, to all my Navajo friends, please take the time to read up on this issue and dont let your vote go to idiots like Ben Shelly! #changethename #notyourmascot
