With the elections behind us I thought I would weigh in. But instead I will weigh in on my company and why Southwest Airlines needs to be considered by both parties as a model for moving forward. It wont happen but should. 80% of my company is unionized and for 41 years they have made a profit - an incredible record for an airline. We are incredibly diverse - many leadership positions are occupied by those that would check not white or male or straight. How do we do this? We celebrate everyone and everything and we do it quite frequently.Record stock price last week and we were stock of the week. Profit sharing is generous. We cheer our leaders with gusto who are front and center in good times and bad. Some say we are no longer low cost but I just bought RT tickets to see my new granddaughter for $210 for both Deb and I to travel DAL-PHX. Life is good!
