With the opening of the 9/11 Museum in New York, were once again reminded of the heroes that died that day and the heroes that were born or revealed as the tragedy unfolded. Some, like Mark Bingham, were gay, and yet on that day it didnt matter who you loved; there was a sense that we were all in this together. In this highly-polarized age, its good to be reminded of that--it gives us something to strive for. Whether you visit or not, the Museum helps us to honor and remember Mark and the many heroes like him that came out of that tragic day.
