With the passing of Dave Brockie, this week has been quite emotionally draining for a lot of people. As you could imagine, every other Facebook feed is about this current state of affair (which would explain why I havent been on as much as usual.) Weve only met a few times, but I want to bring up the last time we talked. It was at the Canal Club last August. We were all pregamming and anticipating for the GwarBQ the following day. Dave and I were talking about some Italian restaurant he just ate at (he grabbed his stomach and made a funny face), and we hailed the awesomeness of Gwar beer (he had one in his other hand, as I had one in mine). He soon wandered off to talk with some other people... a very busy person, with a lot to say, as you could imagine. I just wanted to share this with everybody. My deepest condolences go out to his bandmates, friends, family and fans alike. This is a very difficult time for everybody involved. Long live the memory of Dave Brockie aka Oderus Urungus... the man, the musician, the artist, the legend.
