With today bringing more generally quiet conditions across the UK, lets have an update on the prospects further ahead. The next couple of days will bring areas of showers or longer spells of rain sinking southeast through the UK and temperatures around to a little below the seasonal average. The driest conditions toward southern areas. Ive seen a few doom and gloom forecasts for the Bank Holiday weekend, but it really isnt looking too bad. There will be some showers around but should also be some dry and bright conditions, although later on Sunday through Monday we see longer spells of rain pushing from west to east across all areas. Temperatures will be increasing by a few degrees as we pick up a milder westerly flow. Into next week conditions look changeable with showers and longer spells of rain at times but also some drier and brighter spells. Temperatures should increase to around to slightly above the seasonal average and it should feel warmer than recently, especially toward southern areas and in the best of any sunshine. Little sign of a prolonged spell of settled weather, nor of any real heat, but there should be some decent conditions at times during the rest of this week and some dry, bright and milder spells next week in between spells of rain. Fairly confident that we should get some days of decent weather, especially next week.
