Within the last week, Parker Police Department Officers have responded to several burglaries, thefts and thefts from motor vehicles. We would like to remind everyone to keep their vehicle doors locked at all times but especially during the night and make sure vehicle windows are up all the way. Try not to leave anything of value in your vehicle, even though it’s locked. Criminals are more active at night, especially this time of year because of the heat. Keep all house doors, windows and gates locked as well. Keep your valuables, tools, lawn mowers, etc. out of sight. A good deterrent are outside motion lights, burglars usually act on opportunity, so don’t give them the opportunity! If you hear anything suspicious, out of the ordinary or barking dogs in your neighborhood please contact us at 669.2264, our officers can drive through the area and make sure no one is trying to gain access to your home, vehicle or your property.
