Wolves outcast Roger Johnson has turned down the chance to put himself in the shop window as the transfer window enters its final fortnight. While fellow transfer-listed players Karl Henry and Stephen Ward have left and Jamie O’Hara performed before 40 scouts for Wolves Under-21s, 30-year-old Johnson has decided against taking up the offer of playing in the reserves to improve his match fitness or prospects of finding a new club. Head coach Kenny Jackett is quite relaxed about the situation but it would appear to make it harder for Johnson to impress potential employers. “He didn’t refuse to play but he feels the training is keeping him fit and he doesn’t need the games,” said Jackett.
