Word of Hope Christian Family Church has envisioned the building of the Gospel boat for evangelism, discipleship, church planting and revival services. Powered by two big diesel engines, it is now 70% completed. This unique boat is about 100 feet long and 20 feet wide, and is equipped with a sound system, generator, one extra life boat and other amenities. It has a conference room, two cabin rooms for sleeping, bath rooms and a kitchen/dining area, and can accommodate over 80 passengers. It can take eight to 10 tons of load. A skipper and assistants will man the boat. Together with a Gospel team, it will travel throughout the Philippines to bring the good news of salvation, for medical missions and other outreaches. Why A Gospel Boat? The Philippines has over 7,000 islands, many of which are neither accessible by cars and airplanes nor big passenger ships. They can only be reached by small to medium sea crafts. With a population of over a hundred million, and 12 to 14% of which are Evangelical Christians, a boat such as this can bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ even to the remotest islands.
