Words Of Wisdom (Spiritual Words of Decadence) The blessings in the beatitudes. Be-atitudes (The becoming attitudes to have Christ-like Character). The meaning of beatitude in summary is blissfulness or happiness. JESUS stated by saying blessed are at the beginning of a sentence of each verse, then follows the right kind of attitudes or behavior, that the blessings will be received by people who possesses such qualities or are identified in these categories/examples. Matthew 5 Verse 3 (King James Version) Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Read from verse 4-12(The remaining of the beatitudes) The very first of the beatitudes deals with the poor in spirit, many people become puffed up in spirit, which is pride. One of the definitions of poor is humbled so in that context it means blessed are the humble in spirit for they shall have the blessings of inheriting the kingdom of heaven. JESUS continued to say blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. The third blessing of inheriting the Earth comes to those who are meek. The fourth blessings for those that seek after GOD’s righteousness is that they will be satisfied. The meaning of satisfied does not only mean to be full, but also to conform, thus conforming to GOD’S word receiving HIS nature. The fifth blessings are for those who are merciful/forgiving they shall obtain mercy. The Sixth blessings are to the pure in heart for they shall have the blessings of seeing GOD. The seventh blessings are peacemakers for they shall be the sons of GOD. The Eighth blessings are for those who are persecuted for righteousness sake for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The Ninth and final blessings of the beatitudes are to those who are persecuted and have all sought of reviling things, slander said against them falsely for JESUS’S sake or on account of HIM. HE said rejoice and be exceedingly glad because the blessing or reward will be great in heaven. Therefore walk towards seven out of the eight blessings, by living a sold out life for CHIRST except one which none of us work towards is the mourning aspect. Thus shall you live the life of a beatitude (A blissful life). GOD bless you all for reading.
