Words cannot describe my reaction(s) here! Neglect? NEGLECT?!!!! This is NOT mere neglect! And the charges cannot be upgraded unless the child DIES?!?! Our system of juris[IM]prudence and [IN]justice is SOOOO messed up! I take issue with even the Indiana Constitution (Article 1, Section 18) at this point: Forget restoration. Inflict vindictive justice -- in SPADES! See our Lords resolution for merely offending a child at Matthew 18:6. (A millstone swimming necklace would be better than His punishment!) The Mosaic eye-for-eye, tooth-for-tooth standard would be much more appropriate: Starve the 200+-pound torturer(s) down to 40 pounds -- then s-l-o-w-l-y skin him/them alive! There has to be a special place in Hell for legislators, lawyers (especially prosecutors, and doubly for defense attorneys) and judges who play legal games over the plight of children raped, sodomized, tortured and otherwise abused by predators and just plain evil sub-human animals in our society. Just HAS to be! Scuse me while I go puke...
