Worked all day at the shop yet my mind was on other things... I was thinking about the day MLK Day! So I put off posting about the shop and mention a few things on my mind... I wondered about Martin, about his message and his courage. I also wondered about my time spent at the site of his assassination, The MLK museum now and wonder about where I would have been in his day, which side of the fence so to speak. It would be easy to say Id be right there at his side but truth be told that would simply be an easy way out for me to respond today some almost 50 years later, so thats really not a fair assessment. Nor is it right at this date for me to look backwards and honestly answer that question. I can say we have come a ways toward his dream yet certainly not far enough. How can we across the board help fulfill not any his dream but whats right! How can we all regardless of race see that each of us is created in the image of God? I certainly dont want to be preachy or sound self righteous, each one of us has work to be done to heal the wounds that separate us... Lets make tomorrow a better day. Lets move closer to the fulfillment of that dream. It will be good for all of us!
