Wow, I keep thinking in a week from tmro they will make an small cut in my neck, push my throat and vocal cords to the side and work to set free my pinched nerves that control my left side of my body. Im a bit nervous. Thats ok though. I just wish I could find out what to do to make it stop being in my thoughts constantly! I am looking forward to the pain relief, an to regain function of the left side of my body!! A great big thank you to Gayle L. McAfee Hicks my lovely sister in law for talking to me about it tonight! She had it done around 2 years ago. Said she would do it again in a heartbeat! She said what the Dr said, the worse part is a very sore throat! I will stay one night in the hospital. My momma is staying all night with me and bringing me home the next day. Andy has taken the whole week off to be there for his precious wife!!! LOL!! The waiting is the hardest part!! Im a sight to see walking about. Left foot numb so I have a little limp, my left arm is bent and hand up under chin, and my head leaning way to the right and looking down. Keep my head in this position because it keeps a lot of pressure off the nerves. It truly is comical to watch me move about! Living in the Hicks household boy, the sarcasm is a flying!! So glad we can all get a chuckle out of this bump in the road!! As I prayed earlier I said thank you Lord for having a foot that can be in discomfort , thank you Heavenly Father I HAVE an arm to bend and tuck under my chin! The most important thing I am truly thankful for is, at the appointment with the surgeon, we had a detailed chat with him about the surgery, when we were done as he reached for the door handle i blurted out of my mouth,,, ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?? He turned and smiled an said, oh yes I am, he said the name of the church and even the address. I have to admit, after he said oh yes, I didnt hear anything else. I was to busy screaming in my head,,, thank you Lord,,,, oh I praise your name Jesus!!! By saying That I sure dont want to offend anyone. There are amazing surgeons of every religion!! But for me, that just made my whole day!! Good night all!!
