Wow... Sums it up.... I get sick to my stomach if Im in the OR doing an emergency surgery, knowing that my patients are waiting. I can count on 1 hand the number of days Ive cancelled office hours (in 11 years) but still gives me ulcers. Im late for this reason often, but rarely cancel. This probably bothers me more than anything. My awesome staff takes the brunt of the complaints. I just want patients to realize why Im late and admit that if I were in the OR taking care of their loved one that they would want me to be relaxed and take my time.....
