Wow, TLP was not around last evening and all hell breaks lose with our page and the nay Sayers. We apologize to our admins who had to deal with this and our supporters who were in the cross fire. When we announced Jake was at the New York Bully Crew, which by the way is 30 minutes from our home and we are invited there any time to visit.... We we confronted with, oh no, not the New York Bully Crew. When we announced Gus was going to Cesar, some cried, oh no, not Cesar. When we announced that Sherif Joe would gladly take Mickey, some cried out, oh no, not Sherif Joe. When others said, try Tia, others said, oh no, dont send any dog to Tia. Some said, what about Best friends in Utah, others replied, oh no, not Best Friends, theyve lost site of their mission ... Do you see a trend here? While we recognize there are places we would never consider and if we have a bad experience, expose them, to suggest that we even attempt to find only places that have never had an issue and nobodies ever heard any negative about, is unrealistic. If you have a list of groups that would take dogs like Cody, Onion, Gus, Mickey and the like where they would NOT be in cages 22 hours a day and would have interaction and socialization, training, etc And dont want between $7000.00 and $15,000 to take the dog, please give us a list of those for the next dog that we help who needs a place to go or better yet, volunteer to coordinate places to take dogs we help. We would welcome the help. You can contact us at [email protected] Similarly, if you have first hand, documentable, first person experience (it happened to you or your dog,) not Ive read it on the internet, everyone knows, my friend told me, the reliable group told me, etc, please contact us privately and we will look into it. No organization is perfect. None claim to be, but they all do the best they can with the generous and limited resources that they have. Some can do more than others, there is no doubt. But until the nay Sayers come up with viable placements for dogs with major history, and transport in place for these dogs, their comments are not welcome. If there is a problem, become part of a solution, otherwise dont bother commenting. If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.
