Wow how surreal cool it is to have modern technology that let me jam with my good friend Shane McElroy who is in Florida while Im in Cal by phone. We played/sang through everything from 50s cool standards, to 60s folk, 70s lounge -disco, 80s ska and new ro, and country. So nice to have multi talented cultured musician friends. Just wish we all lived a bit closer. It is interesting to analyze aesthetic tastes as well. As Shane is a bit older than me and thus grew up with more rock and punk.. while I was more jazzy lounge/disco/electronica..and how our interpretative stylings are different but who we can learn a lot from each other. What a fun Ziggy.... send Bowie boy my way anyday. LOL alas Life on Mars... (Note to Shane: must find that beautiful Cat Stevens tune for you to learn on guitar from the Liza movie Junie Moon.) I wonder if my sisters or Glenn know it? Now I feel like watching that movie and maybe a little Midnight Cowboy at Midnight...
