Wow, what a weekend at Round 4 of the Peter Stevens Motorcycles - TopicsExpress

Wow, what a weekend at Round 4 of the Peter Stevens Motorcycles 2014 SA MX Championships at Riverland JMC. To say that the Juniors did a sensational job on Saturday in the wet conditions is an understatement. You are a bunch of troopers and I am sure this will help build you in to better Riders. The conditions Sunday were no better, and Chris Kelly and Pam Groom were under pressure to make some decisions on what to do. There is a lot of pressure in these situations, you need to balance Rider safety with Respect to the Club, the Series and the reality that MX is a winter sport, and that Riders should be able to ride all conditions. To the small group of Senior Riders who got off their asses and helped the Club walking the track with us and reworking corners, helping discuss sections of the track - I cannot tell you how AMAZING I think you all are. To the people who offered to get out on shovels or any machinery the club had to help - again, AMAZING. Then there were the track guys and the ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Peter from Riverland Earthmoving and Marcus Spangler who with a matter of phone calls came to our rescue. Donating their time and worked a miracle TOGETHER. It wasnt pretty but it was bloody effective. To Doug Spanos, you led the way with Peter Staunton co-ordinating all of the track work and I cannot thank you and your Club for all their efforts on the weekend. The track came up sensational and even showed a little bit of dust by the end of the day. I sincerely want to thank the Riders who stuck it out and were patient with us. You did the right thing by us, and we did the right thing for you all. It showed what TEAMWORK can do. Bring on Round 5 at Crystal Brook. If its raining, you will find me in the foetal position in the lap box humming to myself. LOL ;)
