Wow...yes RACE is still a factor in our lives and its down right a shame. Watch this!! He explains it very well and adds passion to it. The last example was very familiar. I remember this happening to me when I was off on a story. My camera operator and I walk inside, Im the Reporter, its my story, and my camera operator, who happened to not be my shade nor wearing professional attire, actually wearing a t-shirt & shorts, received the handshake, welcome, and respect......until... well if you know Denise Thomas you can finish the rest of that sentence. :) Just kidding..I just simply stepped forward a little closer, starred him in the eyes let him know who I was and where Id like to shoot my LIVE Shot. My point is that I had to say Im Denise Thomas of CBS-7 News to get his attention and respect. Race is here and can be downright wrong.
