YES - I completed my Final Dives towards my Advanced Scuba Diver Certification. Sunday, we (14 divers) went out of Jupiter onboard the Down Deeper, just off West Palm Beach. We are so Blessed to live here - the Dive magazines year after year vote this area as #1 in North America and in top 10 in the World! And, theres a reason for it. Not long after clearing the inlet, we were on top of some of the most famous reefs. 1st dive was The Ledge - and it is! It was a negative entry where you drop and go to the bottom as quickly as possible because of the currents. It was amazing - and clear - and COLD~ I even wore a 5mil wet suit w/ a hood, gloves etc and still froze! Yikes! I think we were 135(?) I question because I got soooo sea sick back on the boat that I didnt write anything down. Thankfully, I was surrounded by amazing instructors thatll fill this in w/ me soon. On this 1st dive I saw a Loggerhead Turtle, lots of Goliath Grouper, different fishies and a huge shark (8? - but not too close to me). Then, back to the boat in giant swells. Got tanks switched over for Dive #2, tossed my breakfast, then got off for Dive #2, on top of The Hole in the Wall, where there are huge holes in the reef where you can swim thru. (I didnt, nor did I take my fancy underwater camera - too much going on, sick, and needing to focus. Therell be another time tho. Saw a sting Ray, lots and lots more Goliath Grouper. Its just amazing down there. The whole time, I kept thanking God for His incredible creativity - to make these colors, and supportive ecosystem for these creatures. And, for the opportunity for me to see this!! I am Blessed, indeed! Im still suffering slightly from that blasted boat ride, but w/ a smile, thanks to the new memories. Thank You, Stuart Scuba, Christy Campbell & Peter Friedman. Im telling you - EVERYONE should try Scubaing. And, you should try it w/ this friendly, professional staff. See ya wayyyyy under the boat next time!
