YES: If Americans are really worried about the spread of this disease they should support the doctors and nurses on the ground in West Africa that are fighting this disease instead of engaging in a witch-hunt of one of these courageous nurses who has already proven to be negative twice. The kind of 24/7 access to medical care that is needed, is simply impossible in West Africa. In the United States there are 245 doctors for every 100,000 citizens. In Liberia there is 1.4; in Sierra Leone, it’s 2.2 and in Guinea, the best of the three it is 10. . . . Hopefully this epidemic in West Africa will send out a message that if we want to live in a safe and secure world it has to be safe and secure for everyone and not just an elite few.
