YMCA RURAL CENTRES AND INSTITUTE OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT, MARTHANDAM YMCA KANYAKUMARI SUMMER FESTIVAL - 2014 The one month special programme of Summer Festival - 2014 was organized with the wide publicity to ensure larger participation at YMCA Kanyakumari Centre. It is the Rural Revolutionary programme of YMCA Marthandam Project for the fortification of Children, Youth and Women from the very beginning. In this significant occasion of YMCA Kanyakumari, more than 80 students in the age group of 5 – 23 years from the nearby villages were participated in different classes. Particularly this programme was organized with the objective of providing opportunities for the Children, Youth and Women to develop their concealed talents, skills, knowledge and improve their good manner. The classes offered like Computer, Painting, Spoken English and Spoken Hindi and Tailoring & Hand Embroidery. Childrens and Youth were very enthusiastically enjoyed and got ability from the Summer Festival - 2014. The Inauguration function was held on 25th April 2014 at Kanyakumari YMCA International Programme Centre. Miss P. Stella Goldy, Mr. P. Jesan Raj, Mrs. Jeya, and Mrs.K.Chellam were dedicated as a faculty team for the whole month. Their contribution was very superb work in the Summer Festival - 2014 at YMCA Kanyakumari. The Closing day Programme was held with all the Participants & Parents on 23rd May 2014. Mr. Shalin Jeba Kumar welcomed each and every one of the participants. Mr. P.Sam Robert, Secretary, gave the greetings to the gathering. Mr. Suresh Babu proposed the vote of thanks at last the Certificates and prizes were distributed to the participants.
