YOU SHALL SEE THEM NO MORE Dr.D.K. Olukoya Beloved readers, I thank God for your lives and for preparing this message specially for you. Please know this therefore that this message you are about to read demands all your attention. Open up your heart to God as you read this piece, and God will bless your spirit, soul and body richly in Jesus name. The title of this message is: “You shall see them no more” But before you begin to read, please pray this prayer point very well. “Lord Jesus lay your hands on me today” Our first scripture is found in Exodus Chapter 14:13, it reads, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever” Please keep the last sentence in your heart; You shall see them no more. There is something known in spiritual circle as hitting a spiritual jackpot. The meaning of this is that, somebody at a particular time was fortunate enough to be at a place where the power of God was moving and therefore gained immensely both physically and spiritually. It is such a time when God pours out His indescribable blessings and that person happened to be there at that time. We say that such a person has hit a spiritual jackpot. God does so occasionally. Then you could ask questions as to why God does that occasionally? You will soon know the answer soon. There was a particular powerful meeting where the anointing of God was all over the place. One of those who attended the meeting was an unbeliever. He was a sick person and the devil was pushing him all over the place. But thank God that he attended the crusade, where the power of God was available in abundance. First of all, his sickness went away without anybody attending to him. Secondly, when there was an altar call of people that wanted to give their lives to Christ, he answered the call and gave his life to Christ. Thereafter, there was another call of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, he went there and he received the Holy Ghost baptism. Then, the minister began to call those that wanted spiritual gift. Again the brother went there and he began to prophesy. All on the same day. He received a spiritual jackpot. It is something, which happens, and nobody knows the reason. God sometimes just pours out his blessings. I want to tell you a secret, today is such a day for you in Jesus name. The children of Israel had left Egypt. But Pharaoh said, “I will pursue and I will overtake” True to his words, he began to pursue. But he did not realise that it is a dangerous thing to pursue God’s people, because when it seems as if the enemy wants to catch up with them, their God who does not slumber nor sleep will rise and begin to fight for them. When their God begins to fight, people will get sacred because the way He will do it will be so terrible. Threat of pharaoh threw fear into the minds of the Israelites. However, Moses the fearless man of God told them to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. God also instructed Moses to tell the Israelites to move forward, for the Egyptians that were seeing that day would not be seen anymore. God told Moses that the Egyptians have made a very serious mistake by pursuing His own divinely elected children. God did what surprised the Israelites. He ensured that their Egyptian pursuers were drowned in the red sea. As you read further, I pray that your spiritual memory will be opened. Consider another example of a man who because of divine intervention did not see his foes again. Jacob was that man. He started from his mother’s womb as a thief. His name Jacob means a supplanter and a deceiver and lived up to his name. He became thoroughly confused and didn’t know what to do. Just one day, he had an opportunity, which he grabbed, and got what he wanted. As an angel of God was passing, Jacob held him and insisted on being blessed. He vowed not to let the angel go until he blessed him. Then came the reply of the angel in Genesis32: 28 “And he said, thy name shall no more be called Jacob but Israel; for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men and hast prevailed” Jacob stuck to that angel until the angel told him your name shall no more be called Jacob” That is, he shall see the woes and evil effects of the name no more. The Lord finished in one day all the problems that Jacob had accumulated in his life. Any problem at all, in anybody’s life, no matter how long the problems might have existed, does not take God more than one minute to solve. Look at the time that the Egyptians afflicted the Israelites for 430 years. But the Lord visited them in just one night. My prayer for you is that as from today, you will no longer see the people afflicting you. You will see them no more. Look at how long Jacob had been out of God’s blessings and how long the bad name has been harassing him. But one day, he had an opportunity and he grabbed it. He was promoted from a thief and a deceiver to a king with God. For that is the meaning of the word Israel. If you are thinking that God is not interested in you, and that His anger has been waging war against you, please know this fact from today that you are not alone. God is by your side always. Psalm30:5: “for his anger endure but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” The Lord has asked me to give you this good news, that you shall see your Egyptians no more and you shall see your pharaohs no more. But you need to learn from a brother’s experience. As a brother was praying one night, he noticed that he could pray harder than he used to do before. He prayed until his clothes got wet, and when prayed to a particular level, he saw somebody in a white garment asking him to stop praying. The person in white garment told him that he had prayed to a break through level. The brother wanted to stop praying, but he reasoned that God does not tell people to stop praying. As he looked more closely at the person in white garment, he saw stains on the garment. The white garment was indeed very dirty. The brother then realise that he was facing an angel of the devil trying to pretend to be an angel of light. The brother then became more aggressive and began to praise the Lord. It was that night that he received victory for what he has been asking from the Lord for 21 years. Although Satan tried to stop him, he persevered and saw his woes no more. Many people have complained that they don’t experience the power of God. It is because they do no stay long enough in His presence. If you stay there long enough, he would come and would not tarry. Let us read 11samuel7: 10 which talks about the affliction of the children of wickedness. “Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more as before time” God said the children of wickedness will not harass you any more. They will not disturb your life any more and you shall see them no more. And as you are reading this, I want you to close your eyes and build up an aggression in you spirit. With that aggression, declare a spiritual war on every bad spirit surrounding your life. What are the unfavorable condition you find yourself and to which you want God to say to you that, today you shall see the activities of the children of wickedness no more? There are steps you can take so that God can cage the desires, hopes and the problems of the enemy. These principles are in the words of God and you are going to put them into practice from now. 1.God in His sovereignty, sometimes does what he likes not caring whether or no the receiver of the blessing is ready. Psalm 115:3: “But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever he hath pleased” He however has his own purpose; I will give you an example. Look at Paul on the way to Damascus, where he was going to kill Christians. He was against believers and was persecuting them. Nobody could preach to Paul or dared go near him to tell him that he should accept Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour. No sermon could convert him. But that day on his way to Damascus, God himself touched him, threw him down from his horse and converted him. That is the way God works in his power, He just does it. There is also this story in the bible about the pool in Bethesda. It was the pool where the angel of the Lord would come and stir the water. The rule was first come first served. The first person to jump into the water would be made whole. It did not matter whether that person was the worst sinner in the world or the most terrible liar. As far as he got to the water first, he would get well. Although many people were standing by the Bethesda pool, Jesus just went straight to meet a helpless impotent man. The man didn’t call Jesus. He probably didn’t recognize Jesus. Nobody knew why Jesus did it. He went straight to the man and said to him, “will thou be made whole? Instead of the man to answer a simple question, he began to tell stories like many of us do today. Jesus nonetheless healed him and gave him a serious warning that he should sin no more lest a worse thing come unto him. God does what He likes. People, who are deaf and dumb, do come to Christian revivals. They do not even hear the message, let alone having any faith, but God touches them, just like that and they get healed. God can do anything that is why the Bible says that blessed is the man whom God has chosen. God himself chooses people. You can also tell God to choose you for special blessings this moment. We don’t know how God does His own arithmetic, because we cannot question him. Consider Peter’s example: Peter said, “if you are Jesus, ask me to come” Jesus said, come and he started following Jesus. But he was able to go as far as his faith could carry him. Immediately, he began to doubt, he began to sink. Peter had broken the spiritual rule; therefore, he was qualified to sink. Peter however prayed the only prayer that could save him. He asked for God’s mercy and God’s mercy does not require anything for anyone to qualify for it. Peter prayed that the Lord should have mercy on him and Jesus held his hands and drew him. Although Jesus called him a man of little faith, he nevertheless saved Peter. Many people after having prayed will be complaining that they have not received answers to their prayers and that nothing is happening, the fact is that, they are doubting. The only thing that can help such people is to call on God for mercy and God will have mercy on them. In Romans9;15&16, it is written “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom l will have mercy and l will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth but of God that sheweth mercy”. God shows His mercy sometimes, not because of the fact that the person involved deserves it. Verse 20 of that Chapter9 says, “Nay but, o man who art thou that replies against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour and another unto dishonour? Romans9:22 has this to say too, “What if God, willing to shew his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction.” It seems that even for vessels that are going for destruction, God in His mercy sometimes saves them. So, the first thing you need to recognize is that God can do what He likes without consulting you or me. Psalm65:4 says “Blessed is the man whom thou choosest…” You can pray that God should choose you for special blessing. We are discussing and examining situations under which God can say to you: “You shall see them no more” The first one I have mentioned is that God in His power can do anything and that you can even ask for his mercy and He will show mercy. 2.God has what we can call a book of remembrance: Let us quickly run through the scriptures. Genesis 8:1, “ And God remembered Noah, and very living thing and all the cattle that was with him in the ark” Genesis19:29 “ And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in which Lot dwelt”. Genesis30:23 says, “And God remembered Rachel and God hearkened to her and opened her womb” God has a book of remembrance. Exodus 2:24-25 have these to say: “ and God heard their groaning and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel and God had respect unto them” 1samuel 1:19 says “and they rose up in the morning early and worshipped before the Lord and returned and came to their house to Ramah and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife and the Lord remembered her. Psalm 136:23: “Who remembered us in our low estate for his mercy endureth for ever” Malachi3:16 says, “Then they feared the Lord spake often one to another and the Lord hearkened and heard it and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that fared the Lord and that thought upon his name” It is not that God forgets things but the days of our breakthroughs and the type of breakthroughs are recorded in God’s books for an appointed time. Job 14:13 says, “o that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me” The day of our blessings and the time of our blessings have been recorded in God’s book, although our sins may make God forget to open our book of remembrance. I want you to pray now that God should remember you and open the book of your remembrance. The Psalmist is fond of praying that God should remember him, it is good for us to pray that prayer too. Remember the story of the two thieves on the cross by the side of Jesus. While one of the thieves was abusing Jesus the other one requested Jesus to remember him in his kingdom. To this, Jesus said, “Verily, verily I say unto you, today you shall be with me in paradise” That man shall be with him in paradise. That man hit a Jackpot on the cross of all places. He didn’t get baptized, he did not take any communion or get confirmed. Right there God saved him because he prayed that prayer, “ Lord, remember me” Psalm 25:6 says “remember O Lord thy tender mercies and thy loving kindness for they have been ever of old” So God in His sovereign power can say at this moment that you shall see your problems no more. God can open his rembereance book right now, and then you shall see those Pharaohs and Egyptians no more. 3. Praise Worship. God can talk to you through praise and worship concerning certain things in your life. A lot of believers have not realized the importance of praise and worship. It is the acknowledgement of what God has done. Many believers who come to fellowship consider praise worship time as a wasted time. So they would purposely come after the praise and worship must have ended. Many present day believers come late to church so as to avoid praise and worship not knowing it is a very important time in the presence of God. Those who want to turn the hands of the clock around and make God pour down blessings and outstanding miracles, will begin by praising and worshipping the almighty God with all their hearts. Exodus 15:11: “who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” So, when you begin to praise God, He will do fearful things that will terrorize your enemies. Psalm 22 :3 “that God inhabits the praises of His people”, and if you have read 11Chronicles 20, you will find that a battle was won simply by praising God. And if you have read Acts of the Apostles 16, you would have read of prison doors breaking open because of people who were just praising God in the night. So do you want to praise God? Do you want the Lord to say to you as He said to Moses that you shall see them no more? Then, you must learn to praise and worship God and you will receive so many things without even asking for them. Let us read verses 12-15 of Psalm 50: (God is speaking here), “If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine and the fullness thereof. Will l eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shall glorify me” What comes first in the above passage is that you must give unto God thanksgiving. 4. If you want God to say to you, you shall see them no more, then learn to shout and cry. This will surprise a lot of people. The shout of the children of God sends terror into the camp of their enemies. We will look briefly into the scriptures: Joshua 6:5-20 Let us examine verse 5 here while you read verse 20 on your own “ And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him” So, Jericho wall fell down with a shout. Consider 11Chronicles 13:15: “Then, the men of Judah gave shout, and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah” The enemies were overcome with a shout. Psalm 47:5 : “God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet” So, you must learn how to give holy shout. The shout of God’s people makes God to arise and scatter their enemies. That is why a lot of miracles do happen in crusades when numberless thousands of people begin to pray. The noise is like thunder and it scares the devil. When children of God gather themselves together and raise up their voices in one accord and they make a holy shout, there will be confusion in the camp of the enemy. They will not know the kind of weapon to use again. It gets the devil really scared. The bible encourages us to shout. No wonder then that Psalm47:1: “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph” Isaiah12:6: “Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the holy one of Israel in the midst of thee” Do you want the Lord to say to you, you shall see them no more? Then learn to shout. You must learn how to call upon the Lord. We have read psalm50:15 which says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble, I will deliver you and you shall glorify my name” Joel2:32, the Lord said that “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” What kind of calling are we talking about? It is the violent calling. We have some three good examples in the bible. One of them was Jacob. He said the angel would not go until he blessed him, and he was blessed. Another example was blind Bartimeaus who kept on shouting, “Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me” the blind man just kept on shouting. Even when he was asked to stop, he refused, until he heard a reply. So, you must keep on calling, until the Lord does something about your situation. Like l was telling some people sometime ago, I said, it was a good thing that Bartimeaus did not allow Jesus to pass him by because Jesus did not pass through that place again, as he was on his way to the cross to die. If Bartimeaus had missed that opportunity that day would have been the end of it. Another example was a woman in Canaan in Matthew15. She shouted Jeus, have mercy on my daughter, my daughter is sick. Jesus then gave her a test by saying that he would not give the children’s food to dogs. She kept on crying. You must do something today until you hear them no more and see them no more. You keep on until the Lord does something about your life and indeed about your situation. 5.You can command the problems to have problems in Jesus name. Psalm 6:18: “Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive” So you command the captivity to be made captive. If the thing is bondage, you can ask the bondage to enter into bondage. You can make the problem uncomfortable or sick. They wanted to use demonic means to stop a brother’s ministry. They then planned an evil thing against him. But three days to the time the evil thing was to happen, the first man died. The second man lost his wife and the third man had a serious malaria fever. Then, a day to the time, the fourth man became paralysed. Then the fifth man quickly ran to the man of God and began to beg him to spare his own life. The man of God didn’t even know that they were planning anything against him. But he only used to pray every night. Let us see the type of prayer he used to repay in Psalm 41:8 “An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more” That was the prayer the man prayed. Please pray this now: Every power that rises up against me, shall not only fall, but shall rise up no more in Jesus name. When you command the spiritual wings of a witch to break into pieces, it will not fly again. When you command sickness to destroy itself, it will not operate again in your life. 6. You must kill your doubt and then exercise your faith. Your reasoning and logic will in most cases, feed your enemy and make them strong. In most cases too, faith is hindered by human logic and the way you reason, this will lead to fear. Your logic, which cannot help you, will always ask you: Can God does this? How is this possible? That is why sometimes too much of academic logic can cause trouble. You will always be tempted to examine everything academically. Matthew19:26 has this to say “ But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, with men this is impossible but with God all things are possible” In Mark 9:23 “ Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” You therefore need to kill your logic and your doubt, and exercise your faith. The bible says all things are possible. Matthew 9 “But Jesus turned round and when he saw her he said Daughter be of good comfort thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. He said, thy faith had made thee whole. So, if your faith at this moment says that you will see your Pharaoh no more, that faith will make sure you don’t see them any more. If you have been having some recurring problems and your faith now declares, that today is the last day for the problems, it shall be so. That is what the bible says. Verse 29 of the same chapter says “ Then touched he their eyes, saying according to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened” Jesus said and is still saying according to your faith. In mark 2:5 says “ When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, son, thy sins be forgiven thee” So, Jesus saw the faith of the people that brought him. Their sick friend could not exercise any faith, but Jesus used the faith of his friends to heal him. So, your faith can help somebody else. Mark5: 34: “And he said unto her; Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way. Luke7:50: “ And he said to the woman, thy faith hath saved thee go in peace” Luke17:19: And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. Luke17:19 says “And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole” Luke18:42: “And Jesus said unto him, receive thy sight; thy faith hath saved thee” It is faith that accomplishes the impossible. Do you want the Lord to say you shall see them no more? Then kill your doubt and exercise your faith. The bible says, call on the Lord and he will answer. 7. You can pray the anointing of the Holy Spirit: Isaiah 10:27 says the anointing will break the yoke of the enemy. When the anointing comes, all the yokes will be broken. A lame man was brought to a meeting. And he was sitting in front and was praying for the anointing power of God to come down. When the mighty power of God came down on the congregation, this man fell flat on the ground, such that many people laughed at him. Some people went to him and were trying to ask him to arise and walk in Jesus name. They did not know that the man had already been healed. He only fell under the anointing power of God. When the man jumped up, he began to run. The anointing fell upon him and all his yokes fell off. God said unto Moses that the Egyptians and the Pharaohs that you see today, you should see them no more. But note that, the bible says without faith, it is impossible to please God. I am yet to identify a problem that God had not solved before. There is no problem that is befalling you now that God cannot solve. If God could raise up the dead, then nothing else is impossible. We have a God who cannot fail. Now, you have to pray the prayer points of the week with all aggression. PRAYER POINTS 1. Father Lord, choose me for special blessings today in the name of Jesus. 2. God have mercy on me today in Jesus name. 3. Father Lord, open the book of remembrance of my blessings and remember me for good today in Jesus name. 4. Father Lord, let every demon and evil spirit harassing me run out of their hiding places in the name of Jesus. 5. I reject the spirit of the tail and I claim the spirit of the head in the name of Jesus. 6. Father Lord, reorganise my life to confuse all enemies of my breakthroughs in the name of Jesus. 7. I reject every spirit of the valley in the name of Jesus. 8. You spirit of failure, my life is not your candidate in the name of Jesus. 9. I receive the anointing to prosper in every department of my life in Jesus name.
