YOUVE BEEN HIT BY YOUVE BEEN STRUCK BY A SMOOTH CRIMINAL Just getting up in the morning, the early tooth paste encounter. Mumbling some lyrics that came to heart from M.Js smooth criminal. Because I want to believe I am not a criminal and understanding the power potent in my tongue. I decided to change the word criminal to something more me First word I could agree to was Born Again So, I sang; Youve been hit by, Youve been struck by, A smooth born again. Are you OK? My tooth brush by now was my microphone. But these lines got me thinking while singing. So, what happens when you are hit and struck by a born again anyway? I felt, well, if you are hit or struck by anything, it has its effects. The closest I got were meet as supposed to hit and influenced as supposed to struck ascertaining the longer effect both struck and influence connote. Every human being has the power of influence, not to mention the power/spirit/personality behind and in us. Normally, when you meet someone, they could: - affirm a notion or belief that you are currently carrying. - correct a notion. - present a whole new and foreign idea to you. - some would leave you grateful for the current position you find yourself. - some would stir up a challenge or motivation of dissatisfaction with your current position or disposition and thus, encourage you to do more. - for some, you wonder, and this is another human being like me? It has its positive and negative sides. Taking note that the some used above represents a born again. The last line is a question. Are you OK? When I meet you, would I be satisfied with my current state? Am I OK? When I meet you, would I be grateful? Am I OK? When I meet you, would I be stirred to work harder? Am I OK? Influence is like this, a white or non coloured cloth is put in water with another coloured one. In time, the colour from the coloured one sips into the non coloured one aided by the movement of the water. Key: the coloured cloth is the influencer on a lighter mood, you could say influenza. the non coloured cloth is the influenced. the water is the environment. Like the non coloured cloth can lose its new colour if it is removed from the first water to the another water, in time a change of environment wears influence off, it depends on how strong the influence was. The environment can promote or inhibit the influence of one man over another. Now, as human beings, for everyone we meet we make an impression like they do to us. Mixing colours in a huge environment or pool of varying influences. Question is! What kind of impression are you carving? And finally, if you are born again? Please BE SMOOTH!!! Revelations 3:15-16 I know all the things you do, you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! And there not so many many ways to be smooth. #ruminating! Ah. This brings to fore what I have heard been said, if a born again child of God makes a presence anywhere. Everything changes. Its quite interesting to discover how changing just criminal to born again brings a whole new perspective and raises new questions to this sentences. What questions is my presence arousing? Hum
