Yeah, Im that mom who makes you feel good about your parenting. 😜 All kidding aside, I consider Chris and I pretty decent parents -- disrespect is met with punishments and we are very clear on the fact that it is completely unacceptable. Yet my kids throw tantrums. Many times they dont obey. And comments like MY kids would never do that cut pretty deep. The implication is pretty clear: you are a bad parent for not teaching them better or you have a crappy kid. Neither feels good. To imply that all that is needed to mold a child is discipline is ridiculous. It completely negates the fact that children are born with personalities. Some are quiet, some are more fiery. Luck DOES enter into it. If you dont believe that, you havent spent a lot of time with children other than your own.
