Year 3+: Tyrel is definitely finding a new kind of independence. - TopicsExpress

Year 3+: Tyrel is definitely finding a new kind of independence. He needed interaction outside of our daily lives at home/work and he needed it desperately. Some days he will call, some days he doesnt. When he doesnt call, I know he is doing something for himself. That brings peace to my heart. Ive discovered some free time since hes been gone. I have been catching up on quite a few things, especially sleep. My body is demanding WAY more sleep than Im used to. I suppose I was a little overdue. I hope to be able to find out a little more information from the doctor this coming week. For the first time on this journey, Ive taken a hands off approach. Its a huge change but its what Tyrel needs right now. The good news is that he is far enough along to keep me informed if he is being mistreated or even protect himself to a certain extent. Because he can do so much more for himself physically, I dont worry nearly as much about falls or choking. Thank you all for sending so much kindness our way. You are right, God is in control. As Ive said a few times in the past, I need reminders of that. When I think I have things planned out, God sends gentle but firm reminders. He knows how to get my attention :). I struggled a bit last night and this morning but tonight is better. I keep going back to this: Tyrel is safe and hes engaged in self help. What tomorrow brings is tomorrows concern. Today is now and I can only live in the present. Love was there yesterday, it is there today, and it will be there tomorrow!! #PrayingforTyrel #TrustingGod
