Yes! This article covers it all - from the entitlement mindset (due to ticket prices) to the non-theatrical audience coming to see TV stars in shows (the latest trend, designed to pack houses...and prevent excellent theatre actors from being cast)! I could also say its Gen Yers but Ive personally seen all ages misbehaving! What I really think it is: the more casual atmosphere things have (negatively) evolved into. Going to the theatre used to mean evening gowns and tuxedos - now its shorts (or jeans) and flip flops! Nobody dresses up anymore - even for church - and that casual atmosphere permeates into everything! If they were dressed for the evening, they might show better manners!
