Yesterday I overheard a guy talking about how As the global population grows there isnt gunna be enough land or resources to produce the meat people demand. Me: Ok yes, sounds like its going somewhere positive. Him: So instead they are going to mass farm/genetically engineer insects and then make burgers out of them, itll replace Quorn and that. I wouldnt mind if it tasted like a burger Hold on one minute! Are you ACTUALLY kidding me, how is this a logical thought process? Dont even get me started on missing the point that rearing animals requires 4x the amount of land opposed just eating plants, or that you dont need to eat fake meat to survive eating plant based. This concept of getting rid of the perfectly fine tasting, currently available plant based meat alternatives and instead create something from millions upon millions of insects is just horrid from every angle.
