Yesterday I spent four hours doing research at the Texas Heritage Center in Hillsboro, Texas. This outstanding research center is the archives of Hoods Texas Brigade and other Texas and Confederate Regiments of the Civil War. This outstanding center is an invaluable resource for any Civil War Scholar, Historian, or author. The staff led by Museum Director John Versluis is thoroughly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The library is vast and outstanding and their database is impressive to say the least. I highly recommend the center for anyone who wants to do research for any Confederate Regiment or Brigade. Here is some photos I took there. The painting is of the 1st TX Regiment at The Devils Den at Gettysburg and the busts are of Hood, Granberry, and Forest.
