Yesterday I was at my dentists office for a routine cleaning, but Ive had a little gum issue, so the recommendation was to have that area lasered. I not only said go for it, but I asked if they could laser some of my wrinkles while they were at it. LOL! We each had to wear rose-colored glasses for the procedure, so of course, I knew I had to post about rose-colored glasses! I love how God brings these ideas to me for my daily FB posts. Actually, Ive been accused of wearing rose-colored glasses (Websters definition: An optimistic perception of something; seeing something in a positive way, often thinking of it as better than it actually is.) and Ive had no regrets doing so. Each day we have an opportunity to wear glasses that show us every reason to accept feelings of despair, anxiety, weariness, sadness, worry, doubt and unbelief. But, why those glasses? Why be irritable, in a bad mood, cranky, and having a bad day right from the start.....especially when the blessings in our lives FAR outweigh the stuff going on in our lives? Im telling you, if we instantly turn the negative thoughts into thanksgiving for the blessings in our lives....those blessings will just start to multiply. Its just Gods way! For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous...... Psalm 5: 12. So I just think Ill slip on my rose-colored glasses and start counting my blessings RIGHT NOW!!
