Yesterday, I was mountain biking in Stokes and found a section of forest that looked navigable without trails. I picked my way for quite a distance without trails. It was so peaceful and nice to think it may have been a long time since another human traveled this area, I eventually ended up by the headwaters of tillmans brook. (video clip).Nothing exciting, just trees. I stopped to admire some beaver construction. Did you know a beaver can drop a 5 inch tree in 3 minutes! Amazing!
