Yesterday as I was going to post and pay tribute to what would have been my Dads 85th Birthday when my internet went down. Since then I have had time to reflect on what a great dad he was and the many talents that he had. He was more than an avid hunter and fisherman. He was obsessed with it. He was GREAT at it and although most called Bob Miller FUZZY because of his beard that he never shaved off, he was also famed WALLEYE WARRIOR. People(strangers) from all over would knock on our door at 5am and wait in line to go fishing with my dad! When I was little I would tag after him in the woods. I did get lost once in the woods when I was 18. Guess who found me? He said Didnt you learn anything I ever taught you! Well fuzzy... you can walk the woods and fish all you want now. Your health wont keep you from those things any longer...and I intend to carry on with some of your ways in memory of you like hunting for mushrooms, poke, ginseng, and ramps..and catching a walleye or two!
