Yesterday i joined with a few you in prayer/ meditation from 5:00-5:30, and it was nice to know that were using facebook for a purpose that transcends the need for it. I would like to continue the process of prayer without distance. i will hop on here from time to time and suggest a time to join in prayer, and a theme to join in. feel free to vocalize what you need prayer for, or how you feel that you connect with the idea of prayer best. is it with you breath, a mantra, an image, a phrase, a plant, a song, a silence, a friend? an angel? for me i imagine placing in two big hands of light, my concern. once placed in those hands, ill sit back, and just sit there in faith that its all done. its all healed. then i can be emotionally free from concern and i can open my heart to true prayer. which i think of as simply a desire to open my heart to recieving gods love and letting it literally extend itself through my mind, thought, feelings, body, etc. a willingness to sit next to god, with my attention directed towards her, just being together, and receptive.
