Yesterday was one of my unforgettable experience of visiting - TopicsExpress

Yesterday was one of my unforgettable experience of visiting friends whom I havent seen for so many years. I really missed them so much and since I had some free time yesterday and coincidently was going to a place where I wanted to go to, I took the opportunity. Everything was carefully thought of, a perfect agenda to dine with the main purpose of visiting my old friends who are almost like relatives to me. Since their business is a pizzeria, I suggested to my companions that we would have our dinner at the said venue. We arrived at the location (after missing the shop that prompted us to make a U-turn). At last, we found it! I felt that we had succeeded to have finally reached our destination, but the excitement was suddenly turned into a disappointment when we found out that the family whom I intended to see were all living separately. Although we were still considered lucky because some of the members of the family are still staying at the old place which I knew since childhood. Mama Amparo, Neng and children are still there and with the help of the employees at the Pizzeria, they were able to contact the son of one of mama Amparos daughter Chef Arnold. I was able to talk with him over the phone and was delighted to be informed that some of them are still living in the area. To make the story short, we were able to see mama Amparo, Neng and some of her children. We had a long talk and exchange of conversations about the events that went on during those years that we didnt see each other. We also saw some of the familiar faces we knew from the past who were also close to us. Then, Chef Arnold (who is like a son to me) treated us for a pizza which didnt end in just one serving because he also provided us with 3 more take-homes when we proceeded to his other branch in Makati. I was so grateful for the generous gesture which I hoped that didnt affect his sales for the day :-D. Anyway, the pizzas were scrumptious and quite different from the usual pizza served in other Pizzerias. His is an authentic and delightful pizza that you may say you havent tasted before. Then the time came when we have to say our adieus as it was getting late. The wrap up was all dramatically wonderful! We repeatedly kissed and hugged (which made me felt great in my heart that gave me a teary eye). I felt the warmth of their hospitality esp. when I kissed and hugged mama Amparo and her grand daughter with her mom Neng (also with Chef Arnold). Now, what I can say about the other people that we came to see (like the family of Ka Bake)... I have no comment except that people change esp. when their lifestyle had changed and an outrageous luck struck them. I felt that they are so high up that we cannot reach them... though little do they know that I am really a friend who just wants to talk with them and reminisce on the past that we had shared along our youthful times together. Well, not all people are the same. Now I know who my real and true friends are... and I take my hat off for them and i will consider them as treasures which I will be holding in my heart for always! Once again, I want to thank the Matias family, Titan Webb and some of those that greeted us during our brief visit in the town where I and my siblings grew up. A million thanks and may God always look upon you and your descendants, that you may hand them down the good traits that you hold inside your hearts. Godspeed! Here are some of the pictures we took during our visit. #feelinghappy
