Yesterday was the end of an era. Flex Appeal is closed and its members are being transferred to Global Fitness. Flex Appeal was more than a gym to me. It was my home gym for many years. A lot of blood sweat and tears went into the gym and not just by me. Actually, many efforts were put in by friends and members, as well as its owners. I will be splitting time at 18th St.Gym and Global Fitness. 18th St Gym is owned by my bench mentor and friend, Sebastian Burns. He was nice enough to put my hardcore competition equipment in there so I can train and hold meets again. Though I loved Flex Appeal, I look forward to the future. Less stress and no more drama and tension with the former owner. No working out can be fun again.
