Yesterdays hammie & glute workout!!!! After injuring my back - TopicsExpress

Yesterdays hammie & glute workout!!!! After injuring my back (again) a couple of months ago I have had to take a complete different approach with my training. For a while there I got caught up on lifting heavy with minimal reps. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with that but doing every session like that was to much for MY body. This video doesnt depict tempo very well as I had to speed it up so let me explain to you what I have changed & how much better its working for me. ALL of my movements are all 3-4 seconds on the eccentric phase, some with pauses and majority of the movements explosive on the concentric phase. Personally for me this new training technique is perfect for my back. Increased time under tension forces you to preform more controlled movements & therefore in my case forces better technique. Now instead of trying to lift as much as I can, the weights dropped back & I am focusing on making sure all the appropriate muscles are switched on & activate to get the full benefit of the movement.
