Yet another situation where members of a community, in this case, residents of the historic Blue Mountains township of Lawson, have been caused to spend time, energy and money attempting to protect Australian heritage and culture from RTA - RMS - upgrades. Due to the efforts of Lawson residents, the Mechanics Institute, a magnificent hall with a professional pro-arch stage and fabulous acoustics has been saved but Blue Mountains Council has now restricted its use to only 35 people at a time.
