Yoga is BACK at Southminster Church! Whether you are looking to try out yoga for the first time or to further your growth in the practice of yoga, we’ve got just the class for you! This fall, we will be offering an 8 week beginner level yoga class which will help students cultivate strength, flexibility, awareness, and peace of mind through physical postures, breathwork, and meditation. Although this class is considered a continuation of the summer series, all levels, including brand new students, are welcome, as we will modify poses down as necessary. Students will be introduced to new standing poses, balances, twists, backbends, and transitions. Intermediate variations will be offered but students should take these at their own discretion. Props, including blocks, bolsters, straps, and chairs will be available for use each class. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early, as this will aid in dealing with payment, discussing injury concerns, and getting set up for class. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions! Can’t wait to see everyone there! When and Where: Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will begin on Wednesday, October 2nd and end on Wednesday, November 20th. Prices: Drop in: $12 per class – Payment can be made in advance or at the beginning of each class 8 class package deal: $80 – For those who know they will be able to make all 8 classes. Unfortunately, at this time there are no refunds or carry-overs if a class is missed. Payment can be made in advance by e-mailing Lara at lelirely@gmail, or at the beginning of the first class. Cash, checks, or card payment via Square reader are accepted! The class is offered by Lara Lirely, a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with certification and training from YogaOne Studio. She began practicing yoga in 2009 and her background, training, and passion is Vinyasa Yoga. She graduated from UWM with a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance and often integrates her love of music into her yoga classes.
