York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Investigating Homicide Press Release MD M. Russell On Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at approximately 3:40 p.m. dispatchers received a 911 report of a shooting that just occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Cattail Lane in the Tabb area of the county. Deputies discovered a male inside the residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as 17 year old Dylan Peters of the 200 block of Cattail Lane. The suspect fled the residence on foot and is described as a white male, 17-19 years of age, 5’8, 145lbs, last seen wearing a dark beanie hat, dark hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans, carrying a dark book bag. Investigators are actively pursuing leads at this time and this does not appear to be a random act of violence. Anyone with information is asked to call the crime line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. ###
