You (and we...) may have thought the moment would never come, but we are delighted to announce that the PROVISIONAL results for 26,879 sailors are ready to be inspected. As we all know, Bart’s Bash developed into something so much more than just a race. KAPOW! The sailing world came together like never before. Inspirational videos were shared from across the globe. Record making numbers got on the water. More than a quarter of a million pounds was raised.... but… theres no getting away from it, it was a race, and for many of you its time to find out… did I beat Ben, Iain or Jimmy? Data we have been given shows that we have collectively amassed over 80 million sailed metres… thats only twice around the world…!! This data has been crunched and ‘Provisional’ results are ready for your review. It’s very exciting to announce and we currently have a top four with sailors representing United Kingdom, Italy, the United States and Sweden. Globally glorious...!! Visit bartsbash.co.uk/results to see the results Bashboard and check where you are in the world. You will see that our results represent 68% of clubs who signed up - currently 474 in total. We know that this total is inaccurate because there are clubs that did not race due to no wind or too much of the stuff, there were clubs that joined together and sailed as one and some clubs that have still not managed to send us their results. They still have some time left (but not very much...). Your ‘overall’ position will be calculated at final results. If you believe that there is a problem with your result (apart from, of course, the fact that you havent won...) then please let us know by emailing [email protected]. The cut off date for receiving feedback is Wednesday 15th October. We will then lock ourselves away in a dark room (again...!) and crunch the information that needs to be crunched before announcing FINAL results in a blaze of glory! So did you beat Ben?... If you sailed with a corrected speed faster than 2.75304 then you did beat the greatest Olympic Sailor of all time - Sir Ben! Boomalicious!! Dont forget - cut off time for enquiries and problems is Wednesday 15th October. We need to find out who won this beauty!! #sailonbart
