You are never too old to learn and in the past educational 24 hours, I have grown wiser from the following lessons: 1. Phones charge faster when the charger is plugged into an outlet. 2. After sorting out a year’s worth of paperwork on the floor, no matter how hot you are, it is not a good idea to turn on a ceiling fan. 3. It has become headache-inducingly apparent that I have to tap out of helping my kids with math now that they are past the 7th grade. 4. A crossover into some significant age-wise milestone has occurred when you are excited about trading jigsaw puzzles with a friend. Lisa Crowning 5. Although great hopes were had due to hours of kayaking and doggy paddling and the 180+ miles that were walked over the summer, the consumption of the following items: every kind of micro brew in New England, fried doughnuts, whoopie pies, and bags upon bags of salt and vinegar and jalapeño chips, did not facilitate the flattering fit of fall clothes.
