You can disagree with your brother in Islam, But never use that to think less of them. That is like going over board in your religion. You can love the ideas you believe in, But dont hate the people who dont believe in them. Its not cool. Thats actually pride. Im free to share my ideas, you are free to disagree with me. And even after the strongest disagreement if we can openly talk in a space where none of us are threatened, none of us are raising our voices, none of us are going crazy, Thats when this Ummah moves forward. Wheres the conversation? Weve become a people that talk at each other and not to each other. Like, when someone gives a speech, someone in turn gives a counter speech. Someone writes an article, there comes a counter article. Nobody thinks like, OK, let me give this brother a call and let me share my disagreements with him and ask him how does he think about it. Let me invite him over to my house. Let our kids play together, let our wives meet and let us just talk about this issue. I wanna know his perspective on my disagreements. When do we do that?
