You know our country is really fd-up when a president mentions Noel Cabangon and Ogie Alcasid in his State of the Nation Address. And its really fd-up when he blatantly lies about the governments Yolanda efforts. While the emotional appeal might have been effective, all his reports were anecdotal. A SONA should emphasize (1) targets and (2) how far we are from the targets. I imagine PNoy giving this speech in a board meeting, board members will shout expletives, cursing his non-concrete, cryptic, and dramatic delivery. And of course Kris Aquino was very ready for the camera, crying on queue as PNoy reached his last paragraphs. At least Noel Cabangon, Ogie Alcasid, some priests and nuns made it to his speech but FOI, a really important issue was never mentioned. Extro music on queue: Kanlungan by Noel Cabangon.
