You know sometimes I feel like this sadness that exists in me isnt even my own. That ever since I was a kid Ive just been beaten down by the ugliness of humanity. I feel its the root to all storytellers. We see such darkness all around us all the time so we create these worlds and stories where we can become the hero and vanquish all the pain and hatred. I honestly dont think Id be doing what I was doing if i lived a peaceful life. But at the same time I look at this world and I dont even think that it would have ever been possible to have that option. I honestly dont believe that movies, tv shows, books, or games dictate who we will be, but are a mere reflection of who we currently are. Because the truth of the matter is no one would go watch a movie that had no conflict, and was just about a group of people talking about how great their lives are and how much they cared about each other and just having a great old time. Because in our minds thats just too unrealistic and even worse boring. From the day I began writing I was told that conflict is key. Its a phrase I now repeat all the time. And now I guess I realize just how sad that statement really is. I dont really have a point. In all actuality Im always just trying to figure what the point in all of this actually is. I think its just time for bed.
