The ident for Pause Fest 2014 is an ambitious creative execution. Heres a fly on the wall view of its development. George Hedon: Airspace animation is the second collaborative project from Rich Nosworthy and SonoSanctus in Auckland, New Zealand. The idea was to create an animation on the theme, Connected, for the upcoming Pause Fest 2014. Rich sent us his initial idea in sketch form with this preso... Rich Nosworthy: The ideas were very loosely formed fromsketchbook doodles and some amazing early sound concepts. The ident is a series of suspended urban sound structures, automated and operating above us and all connected by a network of cables. Kind of what it would be like if MTV and Willy Wonka were left in charge of urban planning. The end result will be a series of interconnected shots and cuts of these odd architecturally inspired machines reacting to the sound design - to be composed by Wesley Slover of SonoSanctus.
